Fiberless Networks Corporation announced that it has changed its name from Dash Networks Corporation.
CEO Louis Slaughter, explained, “Our mission is to design, develop and deliver wireless solutions where only fiber optics solutions are used today– in other words, “fiberless” networks. Our advanced, proprietary technology allows us to provide the performance and reliability of fiber, without the overhead in terms of both capital costs and installation time. Our new name, Fiberless Networks, really suits this mission.”
According to Cisco’s 2016 Visual Network Index, global IP traffic will surge nearly threefold in just the next 5 years, with no end in sight to ever-increasing demand for bandwidth driven by cloud computing, video, smart phone applications and more. Enterprises, campus environments, multiple dwelling units (MDUs) and mobile carriers all struggle to keep up. Laying more fiber requires months or years of permitting and construction and prohibitive costs.
Mr. Slaughter added, “Innovative leaders including Google/Alphabet’s Eric Schmidt have acknowledged that using fiber to expand network capacity is just too expensive and deployments are too complex or just not practical. He sees a new, advanced generation of wireless as the answer and we couldn’t agree more. Fiberless Networks offers a faster, cheaper and better way to serve customers without compromising performance or reliability.”
